Motorola A920
Possibly
the most advanced handset ever, the Motorola A920 is
the second phone from this manufacturer for the UK's
3 network.
First up, it's a tri-band 3G phone with GSM, GPRS
and UMTS (i.e. 3G) support, so it will provide you with
basic services pretty much anywhere in the world. If
you use it in a 3G coverage area, then you can get the
enhanced services such as video calling.
The Motorola A920 also includes a camera, audio-video
playback, multimedia messaging and java support for
applications running on the Symbian platform. In this
respect it's a little like the Sony Ericcson P800. The
Motorola A920 also dispenses with a keypad altogether,
using an "active keypad" on the touch screen,
for use with the inbuilt stylus or even a finger, rather
like the O2 XDA, just better.
All in all, the Motorola A920 is almost definitely
the sort of phone that James Bond would have. It crams
just about every gadget you could need into a fairly
decent 212 gram frame. About the only thing it doesn't
have it a laser cutter, but I guess we'll just have
to wait for the next model.
